Research activities:

The Center was established in 1999, funded by investment capital from OPEC for modern equipment. The center focuses mainly on fundamental research, application of advanced magnetic materials, semiconductors, super-conducting materials, and new materials. Research activities at the center have attracted the involvement and participation of leading scientists in various areas: physics, chemistry, geology and and biology.

The center is organized into the following sections:

- Modeling on condensed matters

- Technology of ceramics, thin films including multilayer thin film and sensors, intermetallic compounds and alloys as well as nonoimposite Materials.

- Structural characterization

- Electrical and optical properties of materials

- Magnetic properties of materials

- Nano-structure materials.
