General Note about Scientific Research
The
University strongly focuses on fundamental research in the
fields of Natural Science, application and R & D
activities. Technology transfer has been undertaken to
develop science and technology and improve living standards
for people.
The
number of scientific projects coordinated by staff and
students is as follows:
1999: 179 projects
2000: 180 projects
2001: 229 projects
Scientific research activities have made significant contributions
to training and self-training process for the University
staff and students. This has also furthered postgraduate
training for the staff: over the last 6 years, 8 high
doctoral dissertations, 120
Ph.D. thesis have been defended based on the
achievements resulted from scientific projects. These
figures are impressive in comparison with the total number
of 500 postgraduate students of the University.
